Thomas D. Boyle is a Director of Clyde Snow, and a recipient of his peers' highest Martindale-Hubbell rating (AV). He earned his juris doctor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University , where he was also editor of the BYU Law Review. He is licensed to practice law in Utah and Texas, and is a member of the Utah, Texas and American Bar Associations. His primary area of practice is Litigation.

His broad-based litigation practice has included: trade secrets in the insurance, restaurant, and technology industries; child abuse in the context of religious organizations, a juvenile boot camp, and a wilderness adolescent correctional program; personal injury and wrongful death; insurance coverage particularly in the environmental sector; and commercial and consumer disputes. Boyle was an early advocate for mediation and has served as a mediator in more than 100 civil suits and other disputes.

A respected writer, he was praised for his writing style in Bryan Garner's Legal Writing in Plain English, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2001. Boyle has also authored articles in a variety of publications, including An Inequitable Jury Instruction on the Taxability of Personal Injury Damage Award (BYU Law Review); Mediation and the Legal System: New Tricks for an Old Dog (Federal Bar Journal and Defense Counsel Journal); No Place Like Home (D Magazine, Dallas); Hearing or Farce (Dallas Morning News); and When Papers Go Up in Smoke (Fort Worth Star‑Telegram).

Before joining Clyde Snow, Boyle lived and worked in Dallas, Texas, where he practiced law with Mathis & Donheiser; Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; and Strasburger & Price. He has a history of public service and advocacy for public education, arts in the schools and the environment. He was a founding director for the Midlothian Education Foundation, in Midlothian, Texas and is a recipient of the Wood Badge from the Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
