Matthew A.Steward, a Shareholder of Clyde Snow, earned his juris doctor (J.D.) at the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene, Oregon . While in law school, he was articles editor for the Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation. He majored in economics and political science, graduating with honors from Colorado College .

Mr. Steward's primary areas of practice include:

Mr. Steward has extensive trial and practice experience in the areas of trade secret litigation, shareholder litigation, complex business disputes, and products liabilities defense.  He is a former clinical instructor at the University of Utah College of Law, as well as a current Utah Bar Examiner.

Examples of his practice include a successful defense of USA Hockey, Inc. in litigation with Utah Hockey, and in administrative proceedings before the U.S. Olympic Committee; a successful defense of a minority shareholder and attorney in a corporate dissolution proceeding, a Utah State Bar disciplinary hearing, and in a white collar criminal case; and a successful prosecution of an action for unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets on behalf of a corporation against one of its founders who started a competing company.  He has also represented pharmaceutical companies in the defense of products liability claims.
