Anneli Rowberry Smith is a Director at Clyde Snow. She was born in Provo, Utah, and received her juris doctor (J.D.) from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School in Provo, Utah, where she graduated cum laude.

In addition to her license to practice law in Utah, Ms. Smith is also licensed in the U.S. District Court (Utah), as well as the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Her primary areas of practice include:

  • Complex Civil Litigation
  • White Collar Criminal Defense

Ms. Smith has almost 20 years experience in a variety of areas of white collar criminal defense, including tax fraud, securities fraud, embezzlement, and Medicare fraud. She also has extensive experience in representing and assisting companies in conducting internal investigations, as well as participating as an impartial internal investigator. In addition, she is familiar with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, which are used in many white collar crime cases.

Ms. Smith published white collar crimes articles, including authoring an article entitled: Precluding Use of a Co-Defendant's Civil Deposition in a Joint Criminal Trial, Complex Crimes Journal, ABA, 1991.

Ms. Smith also has tried numerous cases involving civil litigation and white collar criminal defense, including: State v Strieby, 790 P.2d 98 (Utah App. 1990); and CIG Exploration, Inc. v. State, 24 P.3d 966 (Utah 2001).

In addition to the practice of law, Ms. Smith is active in the community and enjoys hiking in the Red Rock Country of southern Utah as well as in the mountains.
